Packet Pick Up Opens – 8:00
Doors Open – 8:30
Music, Fitness & Dance Party – 9:00 to 10:15 am
Tomato Food Fight – 10:30 to 11:30 am
Rinse Cycle – 10:50 until close
Clean Up – 11:30 until cleaned
*This party will be rocking like nothing you ever experienced – it is the most disgusting incredible fun you can imagine. We expect record crowds so don’t wait!
This is happening! We are stoked to see you. Here is everything you need to know. Grab your costumes and your buddies and we’ll see you in the streets of Europe (at the event).
Event Schedule
The event kicks off at 9:00AM with check-in opening at 8:30AM the morning of the event. On event day, please allow yourself plenty of time to park, check-in, etc. Be ready for a crowd of excited people just as fun and happy as you are!
If you already have your packet just walk in right at 9:00 AM! Check-In and Packet Pickup will close by 10:15AM on event day. (Participants who are late forfeit their swag – so don’t be late!) The party gets going in a major way at 9:30 AM and the first kids tomato food fight is around 9:30AM. At 10:00AM or so the countdown to CRAZY begins. Make sure you are in the arena early to participate in a rock-concert atmosphere of European-Tomato fun. Sing, Dance & Party with us as we countdown to the sauciest day of your life!
Don’t forget that after you are covered in Sauce you can take a turn in our Rinse Cycle™ after-party – to finish one of the most adrenaline filled, crazy-fun experiences on earth!
Parking & Transportation
Remember to carpool if you can to minimize traffic and parking load. We also encourage participants to utilize public transportation whenever possible. If more information is needed to update you about Parking – we will get you the details in the Pre-Event packet sent to all participants a week or so before the event.
Volunteers
We couldn’t do Flying Tomato Festival without our amazing volunteers. Volunteers get hooked up with a shirt and help us do everything from setting up, checking in, Cleaning up and tearing down. We have limited Volunteer slots available for packet pick-up days – as those volunteers may get a free ticket to the event. Fight Hunger, Throw Tomatoes™
Flying Tomato Festival™ is actively engaged in helping fight hunger and educating the public about food waste. We are a for-profit entity. We donate food and funds to Action Against Hunger™ and other local food banks, along with encouraging our participants like you to bring non-perishable food items to the event. We collect this food and any cash donations and deliver locally. Participants who donate receive an exclusive “Fight Hunger, Throw Tomatoes” wristband. Participants are also encouraged to fundraise. AWESOME SWAG
Just in case you have not seen it – we try to hook you up with pretty much the most killer swag package ever. Every participants get a Flying Tomato™ Headband, Aviator Sunglasses, and sexy Flying Tomato Festival™ World Tour T-Shirt. You also get wristbands, a moustache, and a couple of temp tattoos that make you look LEGIT – not to mention all the tomatoes you can throw. You can also buy your exclusive Tomato Festival™ branded goggles when you check out for just $4.00 (instead of $10 at the event).
Believe it or not there are rules to managing this mayhem of marina sauce. Here they are:
RULES
- All participants must sign waiver, agree to safety rules, follow all staff instructions
- No objects other than tomatoes may be thrown or brought into the event space
- No grabbing other people or their clothing
- Participants must crush tomatoes before throwing
- 14 years old or older only in main Arena
- Have the messiest, funnest day of your life
You can never fly with too many Tomatoes. The more friends & family you bring the better your day will be – you just need a Team Name as cool and original as your crew!
